1986 Fender American Vintage Reissue '57 Stratocaster with Tweed Case and case Candy

Up for your consideration is this 1986 Fender 1957 American Vintage Reissue Stratocaster weighing in at 7.5lbs. These early American Vintage Reissue guitars are amazing for the money and some say on par with vintage. Overall the guitar is in good playing condition but it has been toured with and played to deather so it does have wear on the fingerboard as well as a ton of major finish checking both on the front and on the back. Of course, if you are looking for the real look of a true vintage guitar , this one is “aged out” almost perfectly. Some people pay a lot of money to the folks at the fender Custom Shop to age out guitars so this one may be just what you want. It has the thin Fullerton Style Body Contours, the Spaghetti Logo, and a comfortable 7 1/2 pound weight. The electronics on thsi work fine and and we gave them a thourough cleaning before we restrung and set up this neat old guitar. I was considering selling it just like we got it, with what looked like about 20 years of road soot on it, but since we had to polish up the saddles and spray the pots when we set it up, I diecided to have my tech clean it up. He did npt clean it up perfectly, because I wanted the guitar to retain some of the origonal patina from the road, but he di polish the fretboard, clean the pots, the jack, the tuners, and the mechanical parts, and he gave the guitar body a light, but not thorough, polish.   Don’t worry, this guitar still has lots of patina, age checking, etc. and really looks vintage. The age checking is both on the top and on the back. There is no finish checking on the neck but the finish is worn all the way through in a couple places. It has some fret wear but it is not bad enough that it would need a fret job. Sounds and plays great even with the minor fret wear. The guitar includes the original tweed case which is also pretty filthy from the road but which works perfectly, and it includes all the case candy including the strap, bridge cover, case keys, inspection hang tag, fine tuning allen wrench, and manual. Serial number is V019416 and manufacture date is 10/24/86 .

This sucker is way cool!

NOTE: If you are looking for new or mint I am a Fender dealer and have plenty of 50’s re-issues that are new or mint , but none of them have the actual wear and patina that this one has. Thanks for looking.
